The Body Shop - Much Loved Fragrances 2015

Product Review - The Body Shop (TBS) Body Mists

Hello Beauties!!!

What better thing to talk about other than fragrances that prep you for the winter months.

I was always intrigued by The Body Shop (TBS) body mists because of their wide selection of fragrances and the uniqueness of the packaging, as well as the scent itself. The price range of these mists are between INR 795/- to INR 995/-

The body mists in my collection, in order of display in the above image are Japanese Cherry Blossom Fragrance Mist, Satsuma Body Mist, Amazonian Wild Lily Fragrance Mist and Moringa Body Mist.

TBS Moringa Body Mist

If your love for flowers are real - this is your pick!

This was the first body mist I picked from TBS and that is when I realized, these scents are so amazing and fresh. It is a pure floral scent. A favorite among older women - it is quite a mature scent. It is priced at INR 795/- for 100ml. A lingering scent and though it may fade off after a few hours, you can still smell it faintly.

Once I bought this scent, I found it difficult to spray a little and spraying more would give a headache, it took some time getting used to the strong floral scent, however, now I am certain it is a scent I enjoy.

Pros:
*Availability
*Economical
*Good dupe for Jasmine scent
*Long lasting compared to other TBS scents (mentioned in this post)
*All day scent

Cons:
*Overpowering
*Not for all age groups

My verdict on a scale of 1-10 >>>> 7.5/10 :)

TBS Amazonian Wild Lily

The Amazonian Wild Lily body mist from TBS is a light, crisp and a mixture of floral and mildly tropical scent. This scent is quite mild but it is quite fresh and cool for daily wear. It is a kind of scent you pick up for pampering your senses, it instantly elevates your mood by its subtle floral scent and reminds you of all the tropical goodness in the world.

It is priced at INR 795/- for 100ml. This scent can be enjoyed by women of all age groups and can be worn in all seasons, in my opinion, because of its versatility of being floral and refreshingly light at the same time.

I tried this scent at the store and at once I knew I would be obsessed by it. It is a perfect all year round scent for me. It is also one of the most used scents from my TBS collection.

Pros:
*Versatile
*Unique scent
*Availability

Cons:
*Expensive
*Not long lasting
*More of a day time scent

My verdict on a scale of 1-10 >>>> 8/10 :)

TBS Japanese Cherry Blossom

The Japanese Cherry Blossom scent from TBS is a floral and fruity scent. The scent is dominantly fruity and sweet.

It is priced at INR 995/- for 100 ml. The product is many a times sold out because its so widely loved by all age groups. Girls who enjoy sweet and fruity scents should consider picking up this scent as it is quite a youthful scent and long lasting.

I did not enjoy this scent as much as I thought I would, for the price and the hype, I certainly found this fragrance not up to the mark and quite soapy scented.

Pros:
*Fresh fruity fragrance
*Bestseller range
*Last a long time in terms of usage

Cons:
*Availability
*Expensive
*Not a universal fragrance

My verdict on a scale of 1-10 >>>> 6.5/10 :)

TBS Satsuma Body Mist

Oh my my - this is the last scent I have picked up from TBS, you ask if I love it, I am head over heels on this fragrance - for me this is summer in a bottle; however, I am enjoying it in the winter months too.

It is quite an overpowering orange-y, zesty fragrance yet with a subtle sweetness. Its priced at INR 795/- for 100ml and easily available in all seasons and quite a hit during the summer months. The scent is more for younger women and who enjoy spraying body mists through the day.

This scent just pampers my mood all the time - if there is one scent from TBS which I will repurchase over and over again it is this "Clementine Beauty."

Pros:
*Fresh fragrance
*Availability
*Bestseller range
*Last a long time in terms of usage

Cons:
*Not long lasting
*Some may not like to smell like an orange :P
*More of a day-time scent

My verdict on a scale of 1-10 >>>> 9.5/10 :)

Overall TBS Body Mists Verdict

Pros:
*Unique scents
*Availability
*Economical (considering TBS brand)
*Bestseller range
*Cute packaging

Cons:
*Not long lasting
*All scents are not worth the hype
*Glass bottle - hence not travel friendly
*The cap on the bottle is not very fitting

Bioderma Node DS+ Shampooing Review

Bioderma! A brand every skin/hair care fancying woman greedily hoards. Well in my case I needed to pick this "heaven sent" product to heed to my never-ending, every stalking dandruff problem. I have been facing persistent dandruff right since I was a kid, but with time and changing products the flaky snow on my head just got worse. I had been using The Body Shop - Ginger Anti Dandruff shampoo, as mentioned in my earlier post here , I never swore by it that it did any good or bad to my dandruff situation, but I still continue using it every once a while and avoid using it on my scalp off-late. I was recommended this shampoo by my dermatologist as  I recently had some problem with an allergy on my lip (about that I will cover in another post - coming soon!) which was triggered by dandruff *sighs*. Ok back to Bioderma Node DS+ shampoo Claims of this product: - Reduces rapid increase of Malassezia yeast which triggers dandruff - Prevents recurrence of da

VLCC Pista Massage Cream Review

For good number of years, I have been using the facial kits by VLCC, it is a good last minute self-facial treat and does the job of putting up a sublime glow to your face without spending an hour or two at the salon. I thought to give this product   a try , as I was looking for a massage cream, which I can include in my weekend pamper sessions. I did not want a high-end brand or an expensive product because sometimes I just like a simple scrub, face wash, face pack combination of pamper sesh' for my face and thats it! About the packaging and price It is a 50g massage cream which retails for Rs. 260/-. It is not a new product by VLCC and has been in the market for a while. It comes in a plastic jar and is well sealed. In terms of packaging it is nothing fancy and it has a plastic covering with all the details of the ingredients, price, expiry date and method of usage.  About the product and usage The cream is green in color and has a slightly off

A Marks & Spencer Beauty: Mini Perfume Haul

I am all into miniatures these days and when I saw these beauties, I had to dig in. I have never been a perfume purchase person, as mostly they were gifted to me. I love a real good mist and was quite committed to Bath & Body Works and The Body Shop ones for a long time now so I decided lets switch that up and that is when I found these lil' devils and whats better than carrying these dinky yet amazing perfumes around for a spritz! There was an ample collection in all different sizes and notes, I am sure there is something for everyone. I was looking for an everyday type of a scent, so I picked up a day scent, an evening scent and a floral scent.  Since they are so dinky and sturdy you can easily carry them in your smallest purses throughout the day. 1)  Marks & Spencer Beauty:  Lavender Eau De Toilette - This scent is from their floral collection, I never owned an ONLY lavender scent before, I sniffed it I loved it, it is a typical lavender subtle scent, yet it makes
