Things I Am Loving Lately...

Google Image Since, it is a month of love and things related to love, I thought why not throw in a post about things I've been loving lately... Well, I know the whole buzz about Valentines' Day and all the days preceding to it are not so much related about loving "things", so much as loving a person or people or even yourself. But, I am no expert on the subject to write anything lovey-dovey, so I will do what I think I know best, talk about things I have loved recently. Reading I won't classify myself to be a voracious reader or anything close to that, but every now and then, I enjoy a good book. Reading is a great way to realize how simple life can be, without all the complexities of the wifi and social media. I read a book by Sudha Murty - Wise And Otherwise, it was a good start to begin my reading game again, as it is a compilation of 51 short stories, mostly based on her experience and observations about day to day life. I am currently readin...

Working On My Reading Game!

How is it even June so early?! This year, my reading game has been so poor, I must admit that I have a huge pile of books that need some reading, which I did not, as I was busy binge-watching TV series and Youtube.  I have read a couple of books this year so far, but mostly on my phone which sucks, I really do not enjoy reading books on an electronic device - but those books were something I did not want to own so... Some of them were: - The Bastard of Istanbul by Elif Shafak (I own this one) - Orange is the new black by Piper Kerman (ditched it mid way - found the tv series better) - The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo (some tips were fine) - The 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman (Easy read - read it in a day - good one) - You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay (Obsessed! Easy read and quite inspirational) - The Secret by Rhonda Byrne (Heard so much about this one - I had to read it - Again inspirational) - The Magic by Rhonda Byrn...

February 2017 Favorites

Were we not in January 2017, like yesterday!?  Well, I was just trying to digest that we are in 2017 and March begins. 😕 Anyway, to the good things, New Month End - New Favorites My top 5 categories of everything I loved this month. 1) Makeup Category: Clinique Pop Lipstick in Raspberry Pop No. 24 Whats a monthly favorite without a big shout-out to lipsticks! The Clinique Pop Lipstick collection have been around for a while and I was already finding a hard time finding yet another perfect shade of Mac Lipstick so time for "Brand Change". It was also one of my new year's resolution to experiment new products and to come out of my comfort zone. First off, lets spare a sec or two to admire how flattering this shade is, I was hunting for something in nude for an everyday color but I couldn't stop myself from picking this one for its beautiful shade which can work for both day and night time and its amazing texture. It is easy on the lips and does have a go...

My "To Be Read" Pile August 2016

Books... I think prior to reading blogs and content on the internet - these li'l saviors satisfied my urge to know what the other thinks, feels, desires, expresses, prays for and lives... Okay... done with the philosophical statement :)  This post is about my current "To Be Read" pile of books. A little about the reader me: I would never say that I am a well read person or I have views on different genres of writing; however, I love myself some good book reading time every now and then and am genuinely pleased with buying and owning books that interest me. These books are some which I have recently collected (old and new) and plan to read in the coming months. * The Girl on the Train - Paula Hawkins * The Bastard of Istanbul - Elif Shafak * Under Delhi - Sorabh Pant * Return to the Little Coffee Shop of Kabul - Deborah Rodriguez (Current read) * Anatomy of a Misfit - Andrea Portes (started with it - need to continue) Happy Reading!!! to all t...
