Things I Am Loving Lately...

Google Image

Since, it is a month of love and things related to love, I thought why not throw in a post about things I've been loving lately...

Well, I know the whole buzz about Valentines' Day and all the days preceding to it are not so much related about loving "things", so much as loving a person or people or even yourself. But, I am no expert on the subject to write anything lovey-dovey, so I will do what I think I know best, talk about things I have loved recently.

Reading
I won't classify myself to be a voracious reader or anything close to that, but every now and then, I enjoy a good book. Reading is a great way to realize how simple life can be, without all the complexities of the wifi and social media. I read a book by Sudha Murty - Wise And Otherwise, it was a good start to begin my reading game again, as it is a compilation of 51 short stories, mostly based on her experience and observations about day to day life. I am currently reading Homo Deus by Yuval Noah Harari - toughie! but I was totally intrigued by the subject, I couldn't convince myself to pick up Sapiens by him (not a big fan of the past!) and just to remind myself that reading need not be all serious, I am also digging on One Indian Girl by Chetan Bhagat - I make sure I pick his books, you never know which one might turn into a film, usually the price of the movie ticket is more than the book, it just helps me skip the movie ;)

Series
I recently got hooked onto Amazon Prime and my life has changed. I am so intimidated by the variety and collection it has to offer, sometimes I end up watching nothing because I cannot decide what to watch and what to skip and just feel miserable that I have so much to catch up :P I am currently loving the series Mom, and I so love the mother-daughter duo - they can crack up the most serious situations to a joke, you never imagined could be made a joke about. On the levels of humor, I am so so so loving, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel - I LOVE Rachel Brosnahan - aka Miriam Midge Maisel - I never knew a setup in the late 1950's could be portrayed so well in the recent times. Totally loving these series.

Music App
Well, I love music at all times, but I am particularly loving the app - Saavn. I have been using this app non-stop, I think it has some amazing collection of songs, and the app works fantastic on the go. For the first time, I have no songs on my phone - this has never happened, thanks to Saavn.

Trying new cuisines/food items
Now, this is something I believe, I will do lifelong, well trying out new restaurants is not big deal, read in a few reviews, if something looks good, you may try out. These days, I am trying this whole new cuisine/new food experiments thing, I am one of those people who finds it difficult to try something out of the box when it comes to eating. Some weekends, I try to give different kinds of food a try. Some of the dishes which I have tried so far in 2018, which I never had before are Parsi food, Sushi, Udon noodles and Rendang curry.

Yummies I tried lately
New Vivo 7+
I am not a mobile phone addict, I like a no maintenance, hassle-free phone and that is what Vivo 7+ proved to be. I usually enjoy phones with big screen and sleek look. It takes me a while to get used to and totally love a new phone, but not with this one. I am hooked onto it.

What have you been loving lately???

Bioderma Node DS+ Shampooing Review

Bioderma! A brand every skin/hair care fancying woman greedily hoards. Well in my case I needed to pick this "heaven sent" product to heed to my never-ending, every stalking dandruff problem. I have been facing persistent dandruff right since I was a kid, but with time and changing products the flaky snow on my head just got worse. I had been using The Body Shop - Ginger Anti Dandruff shampoo, as mentioned in my earlier post here , I never swore by it that it did any good or bad to my dandruff situation, but I still continue using it every once a while and avoid using it on my scalp off-late. I was recommended this shampoo by my dermatologist as  I recently had some problem with an allergy on my lip (about that I will cover in another post - coming soon!) which was triggered by dandruff *sighs*. Ok back to Bioderma Node DS+ shampoo Claims of this product: - Reduces rapid increase of Malassezia yeast which triggers dandruff - Prevents recurrence of da

VLCC Pista Massage Cream Review

For good number of years, I have been using the facial kits by VLCC, it is a good last minute self-facial treat and does the job of putting up a sublime glow to your face without spending an hour or two at the salon. I thought to give this product   a try , as I was looking for a massage cream, which I can include in my weekend pamper sessions. I did not want a high-end brand or an expensive product because sometimes I just like a simple scrub, face wash, face pack combination of pamper sesh' for my face and thats it! About the packaging and price It is a 50g massage cream which retails for Rs. 260/-. It is not a new product by VLCC and has been in the market for a while. It comes in a plastic jar and is well sealed. In terms of packaging it is nothing fancy and it has a plastic covering with all the details of the ingredients, price, expiry date and method of usage.  About the product and usage The cream is green in color and has a slightly off

A Marks & Spencer Beauty: Mini Perfume Haul

I am all into miniatures these days and when I saw these beauties, I had to dig in. I have never been a perfume purchase person, as mostly they were gifted to me. I love a real good mist and was quite committed to Bath & Body Works and The Body Shop ones for a long time now so I decided lets switch that up and that is when I found these lil' devils and whats better than carrying these dinky yet amazing perfumes around for a spritz! There was an ample collection in all different sizes and notes, I am sure there is something for everyone. I was looking for an everyday type of a scent, so I picked up a day scent, an evening scent and a floral scent.  Since they are so dinky and sturdy you can easily carry them in your smallest purses throughout the day. 1)  Marks & Spencer Beauty:  Lavender Eau De Toilette - This scent is from their floral collection, I never owned an ONLY lavender scent before, I sniffed it I loved it, it is a typical lavender subtle scent, yet it makes
