Bioderma Node DS+ Shampooing Review

Bioderma!

A brand every skin/hair care fancying woman greedily hoards.

Well in my case I needed to pick this "heaven sent" product to heed to my never-ending, every stalking dandruff problem.

I have been facing persistent dandruff right since I was a kid, but with time and changing products the flaky snow on my head just got worse. I had been using The Body Shop - Ginger Anti Dandruff shampoo, as mentioned in my earlier post here, I never swore by it that it did any good or bad to my dandruff situation, but I still continue using it every once a while and avoid using it on my scalp off-late.

I was recommended this shampoo by my dermatologist as I recently had some problem with an allergy on my lip (about that I will cover in another post - coming soon!) which was triggered by dandruff *sighs*.

Ok back to Bioderma Node DS+ shampoo

Claims of this product:

- Reduces rapid increase of Malassezia yeast which triggers dandruff
- Prevents recurrence of dandruff
- Relieves itchy scalp

My Experience with the product:

I haven't been using this product for too long to say "yesss! its the best", but long enough to say it does what it claims - which was what I needed ASAP. I used it thrice/week in the first week and now use it twice a week and in addition to it, I do nothing different than a normal hair wash. I can vouch for the reduction in dandruff (in my case flaky bits) and also minimizing the non-stop visits - which happened with me with changing weather or change in lifestyle stuff, I assume.

  Pros

- It does what it claims
- Reliable brand
- Long lasting
- Good packaging
- Travel friendly

Cons

- Pricey!
- Not so long lasting if you use it for your long tresses
- Scent of the product is not so appealing

Lotus Professional Phyto-Rx Whitening & Brightening Serum Review

I have always liked a good Lotus product every now and then. Sometime during the start of winters I decided to include serums in my skincare routine, now a dry skin baby like me needs to think a couple of times before adding something new to my skincare routine so as to not further dry my skin and that too in winters. I started using the  Lotus Professional Phyto-Rx Whitening & Brightening Serum from December last year and I was using it on alternate days and night, as I do not believe using something new regularly just to see how my skin is reacting in the first few days. I picked this product from the Nykaa winter sale and managed to get a good discount as well. The MRP is INR 545 for 30ml and usually you do end up getting discount of 20-25% on Nykaa. Though, it is not a super pricey product, discounts always help while purchasing a "never tried before" product. I was waiting to use it for a month or so, before I could share my two cents on it. Now abou...

Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Color - Shade Cali Rose

I won't consider myself as a total lipstick junkie, but, yeah l ipsticks are my thing, no doubt, and no matter how I have this "love at first sight" obsession with new lip products, I always kinda make the lipstick and my relationship almost "playing hard to get" till I really I start using it. For this baby - I gave up, I GAVE UP! I AM USING IT NON-STOP, ever since I bought it. There are total 20 shades to choose from and the colors ranges from pink-peach, coral nude tones, to rosy pinks, to some really hot reds and then to those more vampy typa shades in burgundy and maroon. Which means, there is at least one for everyone in the bucket. Each of these beauties will cost your pocket INR 1700 for 3.4g of product, which in my opinion, is pretty decent for a high-end brand of lipstick.  The packaging itself is this classy Bobbi Brown black matte case with the center  portion of the case depicting the color of the product. This really helps whe...

Things I Am Loving Lately...

Google Image Since, it is a month of love and things related to love, I thought why not throw in a post about things I've been loving lately... Well, I know the whole buzz about Valentines' Day and all the days preceding to it are not so much related about loving "things", so much as loving a person or people or even yourself. But, I am no expert on the subject to write anything lovey-dovey, so I will do what I think I know best, talk about things I have loved recently. Reading I won't classify myself to be a voracious reader or anything close to that, but every now and then, I enjoy a good book. Reading is a great way to realize how simple life can be, without all the complexities of the wifi and social media. I read a book by Sudha Murty - Wise And Otherwise, it was a good start to begin my reading game again, as it is a compilation of 51 short stories, mostly based on her experience and observations about day to day life. I am currently readin...
