Sephora Cream Lip Stain Review

Shade 03: Strawberry Kissed

After I saw so many of you beauties rave about this amazing liquid lipstick, all I could do was wait for it to enter in my life. I got this lipstick just before the festive season last year, with a lot of burgundy and violets dominating my festive look, I realized I needed a catchy day-time lip shade. Well, you clearly know it was an excuse to go to Sephora, yet again ;)

 Well now to the review:
Packaging

When it is a long lasting matte liquid lipstick, I think one must worry about the packaging. This one is a slender 5ml plastic tube with black lid and transparent tube which helps you to see the actual shade. This is helpful while making online purchases as for most shades the tube color matches exactly with the lip cream. The outer appearance is simple and chic. It can be easily tossed in your bag without the fear of any leaky bits and also it doesn't take too much space. The doe-foot applicator is perfect for applying a serious matte lipstick with precision and also ensures no product wastage.

Shade, formula and staying power

This shade is known as 03 Strawberry Kissed. You can carry this shade for both day and night time. If you are not comfortable with proper red lipsticks, this shade can easily give you the feel of a red lip without making it look too red as it has pink undertones. The formula is pure matte and very long lasting. It glides on very easily and does not dry out your lips. It stays put for good 4-5 hours on application, without any heavy eating or drinking. It can start feeling slightly worn out after that and it is not recommended to re-apply the lipstick for touch ups. You need to take off the entire lipstick as it stains and can get in between the lines of your lip.

My overall take

It is one of the best lip cream formulas available in the market. It will cost your pocket about INR 1090 -1150 depending upon the shade you choose. Also, the price is justified for the quantity, as very little product is enough for each application. It stays true to its claims of being long lasting and not dry out your lips, but for any heavy matte product, it is only wise you scrub and moisturize your lips well for that smooth look. There are several color options in this collection, that means there is one out there for everyone. Saying that, I also need to warn you most of them are always out of stock - so be prepared for online options. I am not sure you will end up buying more than 2-3 shades at a time, even though there is a huge variety, because the colors are very predictable and there is a possibility you may find similar shades with other more affordable brands.

Which is your favorite Sephora Lip Stain?

Lotus Professional Phyto-Rx Whitening & Brightening Serum Review

I have always liked a good Lotus product every now and then. Sometime during the start of winters I decided to include serums in my skincare routine, now a dry skin baby like me needs to think a couple of times before adding something new to my skincare routine so as to not further dry my skin and that too in winters. I started using the  Lotus Professional Phyto-Rx Whitening & Brightening Serum from December last year and I was using it on alternate days and night, as I do not believe using something new regularly just to see how my skin is reacting in the first few days. I picked this product from the Nykaa winter sale and managed to get a good discount as well. The MRP is INR 545 for 30ml and usually you do end up getting discount of 20-25% on Nykaa. Though, it is not a super pricey product, discounts always help while purchasing a "never tried before" product. I was waiting to use it for a month or so, before I could share my two cents on it. Now abou...

Makeup Revolution - Death By Chocolate

Today I will be reviewing on the Makeup Revolution - Death By Chocolate palette. This palette is well known for it being a dupe for the Too Faced - Chocolate Bar palette; however, in a much inexpensive option. There have been many arguments of it being a dupe or it not being a dupe, while weighing the pros n cons of each of the product. If you ask me, which is the better one? I do not know the answer, because I am yet to take the plunge on the pricier one. Anyway, I am in complete awe of this product, be it the packaging, the pigmentation, the color shade, the variety of matte and shimmers and mostly importantly the way it smells - So So So Wonderful!  Shade Names: Left to right Top Row: White Light, Don't Let Go, Break Me Up, Consume Me, All is Lost Middle Row: Lick Me, Fool's Gold, One More Bar, Devour Me, Tear The Wrapper, Love You to Death Bottom Row: Pray for Me, Dipped, Tease Me, Set Me Free, Bring Down Angels Above, is my palette - y...
