A Marks & Spencer Beauty: Mini Perfume Haul

I am all into miniatures these days and when I saw these beauties, I had to dig in. I have never been a perfume purchase person, as mostly they were gifted to me. I love a real good mist and was quite committed to Bath & Body Works and The Body Shop ones for a long time now so I decided lets switch that up and that is when I found these lil' devils and whats better than carrying these dinky yet amazing perfumes around for a spritz!

There was an ample collection in all different sizes and notes, I am sure there is something for everyone. I was looking for an everyday type of a scent, so I picked up a day scent, an evening scent and a floral scent. Since they are so dinky and sturdy you can easily carry them in your smallest purses throughout the day.

1) Marks & Spencer Beauty: Lavender Eau De Toilette - This scent is from their floral collection, I never owned an ONLY lavender scent before, I sniffed it I loved it, it is a typical lavender subtle scent, yet it makes its mark. This is a 30 ml glass bottle and looks almost like a giant flower bud. By the looks of it, it is simple yet classy and would also make a good gift. It is a scent you can wear anytime of the day.

2) Marks & Spencer Beauty: Island Escape - This scent is more neutral and a day time scent clearly. I have owned scents with similar notes in the past, the top notes in this scent being bergamot and pear combined by salt sea air and rose petals. This is more of my kinda scent, and you can go slightly go overboard with it, without smelling plastic. It is a 25 ml bottle with amazing looks, as the bottle is shaded with light blue and yellow just like the cover. Again, an absolutely recommended gift for the ladies and it is a scent you can use through the year.

3) Marks & Spencer Beauty: True Red - My personal fave! I went totally bonkers on this one and bought two :P I am not a huge fan of scents that are strong, this scent is comparatively more overpowering (in a good way!) than the other two. The top notes in this one is pineapple and orange with hint of sage, jasmine and patchouli - add a bit of patchouli anywhere - body butters, body washes, perfumes and I AM SOLD! It is clearly an evening scent and more long lasting that the other two. It comes in this simple, clear glass 25 ml bottle. The packaging of the cover is more attractive than the bottle itself, but who cares - the scent is to die for! Totally Recommended!

Lotus Professional Phyto-Rx Whitening & Brightening Serum Review

I have always liked a good Lotus product every now and then. Sometime during the start of winters I decided to include serums in my skincare routine, now a dry skin baby like me needs to think a couple of times before adding something new to my skincare routine so as to not further dry my skin and that too in winters. I started using the  Lotus Professional Phyto-Rx Whitening & Brightening Serum from December last year and I was using it on alternate days and night, as I do not believe using something new regularly just to see how my skin is reacting in the first few days. I picked this product from the Nykaa winter sale and managed to get a good discount as well. The MRP is INR 545 for 30ml and usually you do end up getting discount of 20-25% on Nykaa. Though, it is not a super pricey product, discounts always help while purchasing a "never tried before" product. I was waiting to use it for a month or so, before I could share my two cents on it. Now abou...

Things I Am Loving Lately...

Google Image Since, it is a month of love and things related to love, I thought why not throw in a post about things I've been loving lately... Well, I know the whole buzz about Valentines' Day and all the days preceding to it are not so much related about loving "things", so much as loving a person or people or even yourself. But, I am no expert on the subject to write anything lovey-dovey, so I will do what I think I know best, talk about things I have loved recently. Reading I won't classify myself to be a voracious reader or anything close to that, but every now and then, I enjoy a good book. Reading is a great way to realize how simple life can be, without all the complexities of the wifi and social media. I read a book by Sudha Murty - Wise And Otherwise, it was a good start to begin my reading game again, as it is a compilation of 51 short stories, mostly based on her experience and observations about day to day life. I am currently readin...

VLCC Pista Massage Cream Review

For good number of years, I have been using the facial kits by VLCC, it is a good last minute self-facial treat and does the job of putting up a sublime glow to your face without spending an hour or two at the salon. I thought to give this product   a try , as I was looking for a massage cream, which I can include in my weekend pamper sessions. I did not want a high-end brand or an expensive product because sometimes I just like a simple scrub, face wash, face pack combination of pamper sesh' for my face and thats it! About the packaging and price It is a 50g massage cream which retails for Rs. 260/-. It is not a new product by VLCC and has been in the market for a while. It comes in a plastic jar and is well sealed. In terms of packaging it is nothing fancy and it has a plastic covering with all the details of the ingredients, price, expiry date and method of usage.  About the product and usage The cream is green in color and has a slightl...
