VLCC Pista Massage Cream Review

For good number of years, I have been using the facial kits by VLCC, it is a good last minute self-facial treat and does the job of putting up a sublime glow to your face without spending an hour or two at the salon. I thought to give this product   a try , as I was looking for a massage cream, which I can include in my weekend pamper sessions. I did not want a high-end brand or an expensive product because sometimes I just like a simple scrub, face wash, face pack combination of pamper sesh' for my face and thats it! About the packaging and price It is a 50g massage cream which retails for Rs. 260/-. It is not a new product by VLCC and has been in the market for a while. It comes in a plastic jar and is well sealed. In terms of packaging it is nothing fancy and it has a plastic covering with all the details of the ingredients, price, expiry date and method of usage.  About the product and usage The cream is green in color and has a slightly off

Things I Am Loving Lately...

Google Image Since, it is a month of love and things related to love, I thought why not throw in a post about things I've been loving lately... Well, I know the whole buzz about Valentines' Day and all the days preceding to it are not so much related about loving "things", so much as loving a person or people or even yourself. But, I am no expert on the subject to write anything lovey-dovey, so I will do what I think I know best, talk about things I have loved recently. Reading I won't classify myself to be a voracious reader or anything close to that, but every now and then, I enjoy a good book. Reading is a great way to realize how simple life can be, without all the complexities of the wifi and social media. I read a book by Sudha Murty - Wise And Otherwise, it was a good start to begin my reading game again, as it is a compilation of 51 short stories, mostly based on her experience and observations about day to day life. I am currently readin

Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Color - Shade Cali Rose

I won't consider myself as a total lipstick junkie, but, yeah l ipsticks are my thing, no doubt, and no matter how I have this "love at first sight" obsession with new lip products, I always kinda make the lipstick and my relationship almost "playing hard to get" till I really I start using it. For this baby - I gave up, I GAVE UP! I AM USING IT NON-STOP, ever since I bought it. There are total 20 shades to choose from and the colors ranges from pink-peach, coral nude tones, to rosy pinks, to some really hot reds and then to those more vampy typa shades in burgundy and maroon. Which means, there is at least one for everyone in the bucket. Each of these beauties will cost your pocket INR 1700 for 3.4g of product, which in my opinion, is pretty decent for a high-end brand of lipstick.  The packaging itself is this classy Bobbi Brown black matte case with the center  portion of the case depicting the color of the product. This really helps whe

Lotus Professional Phyto-Rx Whitening & Brightening Serum Review

I have always liked a good Lotus product every now and then. Sometime during the start of winters I decided to include serums in my skincare routine, now a dry skin baby like me needs to think a couple of times before adding something new to my skincare routine so as to not further dry my skin and that too in winters. I started using the  Lotus Professional Phyto-Rx Whitening & Brightening Serum from December last year and I was using it on alternate days and night, as I do not believe using something new regularly just to see how my skin is reacting in the first few days. I picked this product from the Nykaa winter sale and managed to get a good discount as well. The MRP is INR 545 for 30ml and usually you do end up getting discount of 20-25% on Nykaa. Though, it is not a super pricey product, discounts always help while purchasing a "never tried before" product. I was waiting to use it for a month or so, before I could share my two cents on it. Now abou

Lets NOT Screw Up The Next Eleven Months

I have always considered January a trial month for all the awesomeness we have planned for the rest of the year. It could be for all the list of resolutions or simply if we have decided to change a few things in our day-to-day life to make our lives happy this year. Some may consider this as a huge waste of 31 days, but I actually think you can afford it. It buys you that extra time just to put some things in perspective.  Sometimes in the spell of the moment, you may make some overwhelming plans that may not be feasible, now is the time to take action on those things. Now in this post what I want to talk about is, if in case you did screw-up (I already screwed up 👀), it is not the end of the world and you need not ruin your glorious next eleven months.  Now, you may wonder what timing for a post like this; it is not a start of the month for a quick fixation like, hurrah! You are allowed to screw up 31 days before you really really get started, nor it the end of the

Sephora Cream Lip Stain Review

Shade 03: Strawberry Kissed  After I saw so many of you beauties rave about this amazing liquid lipstick, all I could do was wait for it to enter in my life. I got this lipstick just before the festive season last year, with a lot of burgundy and violets dominating my festive look, I realized I needed a catchy day-time lip shade. Well, you clearly know it was an excuse to go to Sephora, yet again ;)  Well now to the review: Packaging  When it is a long lasting matte liquid lipstick, I think one must worry about the packaging. This one is a slender 5ml plastic tube with black lid and transparent tube which helps you to see the actual shade. This is helpful while making online purchases as for most shades the tube color matches exactly with the lip cream. The outer appearance is simple and chic. It can be easily tossed in your bag without the fear of any leaky bits and also it doesn't take too much space. The doe-foot applicator is perfect for applying a serious m

My Thoughts On Minimalism

"Minimalism is the constant art of editing you life" - Danny Dover An Image of a Bat from our Sri Lanka Trip Often, we come across posts or books that suggest a minimalist way of life. When we say we are living the minimalist life, what exactly are you in for? Somewhere mid-August last year, some things really hit me hard, two things to mention in particular, one that I was constantly feeling overwhelmed by the things I had to get done in a day and two I never felt any sense of satisfaction on most days even if I had done a great deal of work. I realized that the major reason I felt that way was because I was living a rushed life, constantly badgering myself to do more and more, which is not wrong when you aspire a productive day, but it got me thinking is that really productivity? In this fast paced life of ours, often we forget there is an expiry date, we forget that this race has to end some day, in those last days or last moments, I assume none of these ac

A Marks & Spencer Beauty: Mini Perfume Haul

I am all into miniatures these days and when I saw these beauties, I had to dig in. I have never been a perfume purchase person, as mostly they were gifted to me. I love a real good mist and was quite committed to Bath & Body Works and The Body Shop ones for a long time now so I decided lets switch that up and that is when I found these lil' devils and whats better than carrying these dinky yet amazing perfumes around for a spritz! There was an ample collection in all different sizes and notes, I am sure there is something for everyone. I was looking for an everyday type of a scent, so I picked up a day scent, an evening scent and a floral scent.  Since they are so dinky and sturdy you can easily carry them in your smallest purses throughout the day. 1)  Marks & Spencer Beauty:  Lavender Eau De Toilette - This scent is from their floral collection, I never owned an ONLY lavender scent before, I sniffed it I loved it, it is a typical lavender subtle scent, yet it makes

Twenty Eighteen Is Here

Hello 2018,  I have never been so eager for a start of a new year since 2000! (Millennium and all) I hope you all had an amazingly wonderful festive period. I am all about the new beginnings and fresh starts which new year promises in a big way. There is nothing extraordinary about 2018 like travel, big new purchases, planned activities - NADA! nothing at all... that is what I am absolutely chuffed about, for the very first time, in a very long time I am excited for the new beginnings. 2017 taught me a lot - some things in a big way, some small but important ways - I know for sure I am a different person ready to make the most of life (yeah yeah I get it, its not the new year new me bullshit). I just think I have adulted enough to start living my life in an incredible manner and don't give two hoots about things I have no control on! - pulling out the big guns here, I am a control freak, remember? I am not the resolution kinda gal, some short term goals an
