Colorbar Cosmetics - Kiss Proof Lip Stain - Shade Mauve Dusk

My Instagram Pic

Reviewing on a lip shade, no I think it is, liquid lipstick, oh oh! wait its a lip cream, uh! oh! error again... its a Lip Stain, huh! These names get me so confused... ha ha!

Well it only means its better in its claim on lying there on your lips when you have smacked that burger or sipped on coffee or you did just about anything that involves lips! ;)

Everyone loves a good matte lipstick and if its in a liquid formula which is not only creamy and moisturizing but does not compromise on the color payoff, it is a product to grab!!! There are 8 shades in this range which include darker shades of red and pink.

I have the shade Mauve Dusk and the product retails for Rs. 900/- for 6.5ml. I got this shade a couple of months ago and I am completely in awe of it, whenever I am not sure of the product or formula, I experiment with a shade in the safest color, which in my case is "Mauve" - so now to the product:

Shade:
- Pinky-mauve color

Formula
-Creamy during application and velvety once applied - which appears matte but feels like velvet on your lips.

Packaging
- Attractive packaging and the doe-foot applicator is designed accurately for the product.

Price
-Some beauties might find the formula a tad-bit drying and paying Rs.900/- for a product which one wont enjoy might seem pricey.

Pros:

-Beautiful packaging and perfect applicator for even application of the product.
-Excellent formula - creamy on application and velvety feel, once it dries.
-Super long lasting - stays on for good 5-6 hours the way it was applied, if you do not eat  or drink - but leaves a good stain even if you eat or drink something.
-You do not need a lot of product - so worth the price!
-Perfect party/formal time shades in this collection

Cons

-Pricey
-Some may find the formula drying.
-Requires a min or two to completely dry off and give that velvety texture.

My take on the product:

Oh! I completely love it, the formula, the packaging, the color. It is definitely one lipstick I have gone for repeatedly in the past few weeks. It is a perfect party/occasion wear lip shade but you can pull it off for a casual look with minimum eye makeup.

                                                          Overall a YAY!

Lotus Professional Phyto-Rx Whitening & Brightening Serum Review

I have always liked a good Lotus product every now and then. Sometime during the start of winters I decided to include serums in my skincare routine, now a dry skin baby like me needs to think a couple of times before adding something new to my skincare routine so as to not further dry my skin and that too in winters. I started using the  Lotus Professional Phyto-Rx Whitening & Brightening Serum from December last year and I was using it on alternate days and night, as I do not believe using something new regularly just to see how my skin is reacting in the first few days. I picked this product from the Nykaa winter sale and managed to get a good discount as well. The MRP is INR 545 for 30ml and usually you do end up getting discount of 20-25% on Nykaa. Though, it is not a super pricey product, discounts always help while purchasing a "never tried before" product. I was waiting to use it for a month or so, before I could share my two cents on it. Now abou...

Makeup Revolution - Death By Chocolate

Today I will be reviewing on the Makeup Revolution - Death By Chocolate palette. This palette is well known for it being a dupe for the Too Faced - Chocolate Bar palette; however, in a much inexpensive option. There have been many arguments of it being a dupe or it not being a dupe, while weighing the pros n cons of each of the product. If you ask me, which is the better one? I do not know the answer, because I am yet to take the plunge on the pricier one. Anyway, I am in complete awe of this product, be it the packaging, the pigmentation, the color shade, the variety of matte and shimmers and mostly importantly the way it smells - So So So Wonderful!  Shade Names: Left to right Top Row: White Light, Don't Let Go, Break Me Up, Consume Me, All is Lost Middle Row: Lick Me, Fool's Gold, One More Bar, Devour Me, Tear The Wrapper, Love You to Death Bottom Row: Pray for Me, Dipped, Tease Me, Set Me Free, Bring Down Angels Above, is my palette - y...
